Welcome to 32 BAR CUT! I’m Adrienne Walker, a Broadway performer and the founder & creator of 32 BAR CUT. This is a video and blog series designed specifically for the stage performer. But I do hope that no matter what your profession, that you can take something away from what I share in this series.
I miss performing. I miss singing in front of an audience. I miss the transference of energy that occurs when performers get to connect with people through music. So I decided to bottle up my tears and throw them into this project. I am so thrilled to share this series with you. It is truly a labor of love. Usually I’m working 8 shows a week and busy 24/7, but now that I’ve got some extra time on my hands, I thought, well why not create something? From there 32 BAR CUT was born. A series completely devoted to the musical theatre actor experience. I have been performing professionally since 2008 and I have learned quite a lot along the way. I would like to share what I’ve learned with you, so that I may encourage you and help clear out some of the mystery behind “making it” on Broadway. Each Monday, at least for the foreseeable future, I will be sharing my personal audition advice as well as a cut of my favorite auditions songs. I hope that this series invigorates your love of theatre and song and encourages you to step outside of the box when it comes to your auditions and just your life in general.
